Pricing:

Each carving is unique and each has its own merits. Northwoods Carver takes his time with his work and prides himself on the amount of quality that goes into each piece. When purchasing a finished piece the carving has already been inspected and a value is placed on it that reflects the artist’s effort. He uses his experience to create each piece as well as using it to assess the value. As far as on site commissions go Northwoods Carver will always work within the confines of the customers budget. Once the Customer gives the figure that they can afford NWC will assess whether or not he can work something out for that customer in their price range. In some cases NWC can direct the customer to a more suitable carver for the lower budget pieces.

The Process:

Jeff accepts a hand full of studio projects per year, the scale of each of those works of art will determine the schedule for on site pieces. On site carvings all vary in size and complexity, as well as wood species. Each piece is done within a window predetermined by price,difficulty,location, and scheduling. Each carving (depending on setup time) will have different completion times, especially if there is decking and scaffolding that must be assembled. Less difficult carvings can be finished in a few hours, some a day or two, while others can take a week or more.
